Bodyflight Storm's Charity Work

The members of Bodyflight Storm have been working to increase awareness of charities, and raise funds. One of the main charities we have worked with so far is the British Red Cross.

Brit Chicks 68-Way Red Cross!!!

On the 15th September, Bodyflight Storm took part in the Brit Chicks 68-way record attempt at Skydive Langar, Nottinghamshire. After just 3 attempts we managed to build a 68 Brit Chick flying red cross!! The record was organised in conjunction with the Red Cross Appeal Week which started with a demo into Hyde Park back in May. Since then Brit Chicks have managed to raise over £40K, exceeding their fundraising target of £20K!!

As part of the fundraising activities, we donated a “Jump with Bodyflight Storm” to the skydiving auction which was held on the second weekend of the Langar Boogie. Ian “Stumpy” Matthews pledged £250 in order to make a jump with us. We are now waiting to see which member of Bodyflight Storm he wants to bin!!

For the blog, pictures and video footage of the jumps, please visit http://www.britchicks.org

The aim of this year's Appeal Week was to raise more money and awareness of the charity than ever before. For more information on the British Red Cross visit http://www.redcross.org.uk
