What is 4-Way Formation Skydiving?

4-Way Formation Skydiving is a fast, furious discipline in which teams of 4 skydivers go through a sequence of different formations in freefall against the clock, whilst being filmed above by the camera flyer. The skydivers exit the plane at 10,500 feet and race through the formations until 4,000 feet where they separate and deploy their parachutes for the ride back to earth.

Formation skydiving has become a well organised competition arena with competitions being held all over the world, the pinnacle of events being the World Championships which are held every 2 years. Skydiving is also gradually working it’s way to becoming part of the Olympic Games.

What can Bodyflight Storm offer?

  • Brand association with the ‘get up and go’ image of skydiving and extreme sports. Pack promotions could feature ‘win a tandem skydive with the British Women’s skydiving team’
  • Advertising ideas and tools – the team can offer high resolution freefall footage and photographs for use in TV and photo adverts to help promote company products and services. With a good PR agency, the team are confident that they can generate considerable TV time and column inches. Check out the media page which lists some of the examples of media attraction the team and individuals have attracted to date. Bodyflight Storm can wear company logos on parachutes, team t-shirts, jumpsuits or helmets to promote the company name.
  • Placement of magazine articles in trade magazines. In the past team individuals have been able to place articles in trade magazines therefore demonstrating the association of the sponsor with an exciting activity.
  • Corporate entertainment whether it be demo jumps into corporate events, the staging of branded record attempts or competitions, the team could offer brand association with an exciting sport. The team has already gained support from the World’s largest skydiving assimilator and so could offer staff and clients a taste of flying!
  • Motivational talks – the team is keen to share their knowledge of working successfully as a team, working together and achieving the common goal. They could work with you on staff or customer motivational seminars, events and after dinner speeches with a theme on personal drive, ambition and achieving goals.
  • Differentiation as an employer – a company that is interested in, and supports such an activity, portrays an image of being an exciting place to work. For example, a recent sponsor used skydiving whilst making a graduate recruitment video to help attract well-rounded interesting people with personal drive and ambition.
