The Bodyflight Storm Story:

Bodyflight Storm, an all female skydiving team was formed early in 2007 with the aim of competing at the British National Skydiving Championships that year to gain selection to represent Great Britain at the 2008 World Championships in France. The original competitive team members were Kate Stephens, Claire "Sparky" Scott, Hannah Betts, Sarah Smith and Gary "Swoop" Wainwright. All members now form the Bodyflight Squad; continuing in various roles as coaches, aerial photographers, and as members of competitive 4 way and 8 way teams.

Bodyflight Storm's 2007 goal was achieved when they won gold against all the odds becoming overall British Champions, guaranteeing them automatic selection to represent their country.

In 2008, the team's dream goal became a reality when they clinched the gold medal at the World Championships by 1 point in a nail biting finish with the USA and France, becoming World Champions! One week later they went on to to defend their British Open National Championship title, beating off all competition with a massive 12 point margin.

Bodyflight Storm will be World Champions until they have the chance to defend their title with the new 4 way team line up in Russia for the World Championships in 2010.
